Alexander Technique Randwick

Roisin Browne

Roisin came to the Alexander Technique in 2007 after five years of chronic neck pain. Physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture, osteopathy and regular pain medicine had little lasting effect and surgery was not an option. After lessons in the Alexander Technique the pain receded, so much so that after six months she enrolled in a course in Alexander Technique to become a qualified teacher. Roisin was trained by Bradley Newman and Christine Ackers. She qualified after completing the 1600 hours of training in 2012. Roisin is also a practising Occupational Therapist registered with AHPRA.

Private one-to-one lessons cost $50.

Bradley Newman

Bradley first had lessons in the Alexander Technique in 1997. He had been working as a professional musician throughout the 1990’s until he developed RSI, which forced him to temporarily give up playing piano. In his search to regain his health he discovered the Alexander Technique, which is quite well known amongst musicians due to their risk of contracting a playing-related injury. He trained to be an Alexander Technique Teacher with Christine Ackers, qualifying in 2000. He has taught continually since then, and continues to play piano professionally.

Bradley mostly teaches in Ashfield, and comes to Randwick regularly.

Private one-to-one lessons are $70.
